INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MARKET

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The establishment and activities of the International Business Market (IBM) a grouping of entrepreneurs, corporate executives and professionals from all around the world with the common objective of fostering trading activities between parties on the African continent and counterparties on all the other continents of the world, both for imports and exports.
Ultimately, the activities of the IBM greatly expand trade volumes between African states and the rest of the world, by fostering counterparty relationships, engendering trust and confidence and providing access to specialist trade facilitation services.
The Market’s membership is open to private enterprises, public sovereign national institutions and both bilateral and multilateral organizations that engage in international trade and/or provide trade support services. There is also a membership category for individuals engaged in such activities as commerce entrepreneurship.

However, membership is based on back ground checks and due diligence to ensure that all members can trust each other with regards to integrity, adherence to business ethics and financial capacity to meet the fiduciary obligations required of a counterparty for any particular trade transaction.

Importantly IBM is for facilitation of trade transactions between both non -Africa and Africa domiciled party and counterparty.
Membership is based on annual or quarterly membership dues. However, an agreed commission is payable on revenues generated from specific trade transactions facilitated by IBM.  IBM is funded by a combination of membership fees and professional services offered by the Market such as trade networking platforms, seminars and webinars on trade processes in specific countries or regions, the identification and introduction of specialist trade promotion/facilitation service providers, etc.

IBM is headquartered in Accra Ghana hosting a well-staffed secretariat that handle administrative and logistical issues.  Representatives are also established in Kenya, Ethiopia, Sierra-Leone, London, United Kingdom and New York, United States.
